Went for an
awesome bowling session at the Jurong Super
Blow blowing alley, and I’m here to blog about this awesome event. Woke up

kitchen and saw some eggs, I thought that they were cooked but they were raw !!
At 9:30 am the bus came to pick my brother & me up to send to the both of

introduced me to my buddy for the day, who was British and had only been in
Singapore for a week. When we met we were talking about what the royal baby’s
name was going to be. After we talked we went to get our bowling shoes and
balls and started to bowl, I was doing ok with 3 spares my buddy on the another
hand had three strikes. After me and buddy finished game they announced that we
were going to have friendly completion to see who the best is my team won 1st
place. The prize that we were was a customizable water bottle. To end off the
day we had KFC for lunch. Before going off I gave my buddy a hug to thank him.

NDP Preview 2013:)
Hi everyone, my school had invited me to watch the National
Day Preview and I’m here to blog about this wonderful event. Woke up at 9am to
have my morning meal. After my meal my brother & I went to watch the legend
of the crazy monk on television. Went to get ready at 11am, as I was getting
ready I realized that were no white pants, I freaked out after 30 minutes my
sister handed me a pair of white pants. After getting ready I went to the
dining table to have my lunch, my sister made sandwiches for the three of us
and my brother made me a cup of milo without any sugar!! After finishing that
really nice meal I went to put on my shoes. At 12: 36 the bus came to pick me
up. When we arrived at school only for 20 minutes than we were off to event
venue, during the journey I was talking to my CCA teacher about the latest news
and all that stuff.
When we arrived at the floating platform my teacher gave me
my dinner, I had a shroom burger from Burger King and a cup of mango
juice. At 7pm the show started with the hosts coming onto the platform, shortly
after all of the ministers had arrived the Red lions were jumping out of
their plane at 50,000 feet and for the first time in history there was a female
red lion. After the red loins segment it was time for the armed forces
showcase, showcasing the professionalism of the men and women of the Singapore
armed forces, after the showcase the actors from Ah Boys to Men came
onto the stage to sing the theme song of the movie.
At this time it was getting dark so I took out the
lightstick from the fun pack. The performers were singing songs, then I heard a
voice saying hi and I wondered where was it coming from, it was the merlion.
The merlion wanted to join us on stage but, he was scared to swim over then we
had to cheer for him to swim over and when he dived down an animation of the
merlion swimming over to the platform started to show on the screen. When the
merlion arrived it started to sing, after singing fireworks started to shoot
out of the merlion’s mouth. The show ended with some fireworks. I took some
random of MBS. I went home at about 10:37Pm see you soon

Has technology and social media taken over the Singapore community????
Was watching the television show On The Red dot with
my family last night, the topic showcased this week was are people in
Singapore too used to going online on their phones and devices? The answer
is yes; a study shows that 50% of people in Singapore go online
everyday. Let me share with you the 3 age groups that use these devices the
most.
Kids
Kids love to play with ipads and iphones. Even when I’m out
having dinner with my family I’ll always see a random kid playing with the
Ipad. Some parents say that it’s good for their kids to be exposed to such
electronics because it promotes parent and child bonding. But a child
development specialist says that it’s not very good for children to play while
lying down because, their bodies are still in a stage of development, therefore
their backbone might grow to be out of shape if they lie down or slouch while
playing games. The specialist advised that children should engage in more
outdoor actives such as playing at the playground.
Teens
It’s common to see teens like myself on our
phones checking on our social media accounts. My sister & I like to take
photos of food and post them on Instagram When someone leaves me a message on
any of my social media accounts, I’ll try my best to reply them as soon as I
can. The first thing I do on a weekend is to wake up and check my Instagram for
any likes or new followers. In my mind social media is a new way to connect
with family and friends.
People 40 and above
Don’t be shocked when I tell that my mum & dad know how
to use their phones to download apps and watch YouTube videos on their phone,
my dad watches videos on his phone for an hour before going to work. My mum can
do her housework while listening to really old songs. My mum can sit at the
dinner table for hours playing Candy Crush, my mum always asks my
younger brother to download new games for her till her phone has no memory.
Even my grandmother uses her Ipad to play games, every time I go for dinner at
my grandmother’s I’ll always see her playing a game of Angry Birds!!
What has this world come to!! See you Soon.

Singapore Wins against Chef Ramsay
Recently the world-class chef Gordon Ramsay was here
in Singapore to test his skills against local hawkers to see who could cook to
the better version of local dishes. For those of you who don’t know who he is,
he’s a 5 star chef that owns his chain of restaurants all 5 stars all across
the UK. Besides having 5 star restaurants he has appeared in TV shows like Hell’s
Kitchen and Master chef UK.
He went to some of Singapore’s best food stalls to learn
about the dish. The finial showdown took place at the Newtown food center last
night Mr Ramsay won with his version of the chilli crab but lost with chicken
rice and laksa. He did put up a good fight. The reason I think that the hawkers
won was because the hawkers are used to cooking the dishes, while Mr Ramsay is used
to cooking western dishes. See You Soon.
