A Tooth's Tale

It’s been 2 months since I fell and broke my front tooth. I got my new fake tooth earlier today. Woke up at 9:15 am today to go for my appointment at the Health Promotion Broad (HPB). My dad and I were on our way to pick my mum from her workplace; from there we went to the National Dental Center (NDC). Once we arrived my mum went to get my queue number. During the waiting time I was playing Cut The Rope on my mum’s phone.

After the wait, I went into the dentist’s office and the dentist told me to stay clam and   still. When the dentist inserted my fake tooth I felt a really wired feeling in mouth, it felt like a piece of plastic was in my mouth. The dentist told me that I would have to get used to it. After we left the center we went for lunch, during my meal discovered that it was really hard to chew because of my tooth I also found hard to speak, so if any of my schoolmates are reading this please deal with me. My first dental check up

So I was just finishing up my week of school. When my mum came to pick me from school to go home, everything was fine until I got to my grandmother’s house. I was angry at myself for not doing well in school so I was forcing my walking aid to go up to my grandmother house. Little did I know it wasn’t up yet, so I bent my body forward and I fell face first onto the floor. My tooth was broken! My gum was bleeding, I was yelling in pain. My mum & dad took me home to rest.

At 11pm my parents took me to the A&E department of KK woman’s and children’s hospital. After a 30-minute wait, we went into the doctor’s office. The doctor said that he had to refer me to another hospital. After we got to the new hospital, we immediately went to the doctor’s office. In the office I had a fear of not having not my handsome face, luckily the doctor said “ Don’t worry we can ask your local dentist to make you new tooth.” I let a shing of relief.

It was  scary but lesson learnt  never get angry at things that you can try again.
