Be Your True Self

Have you ever had this feeling where by you will do anything to fit in to your friends? You would even have to change your personality  just to fit in with your friends. You might feel happy that you are fitting in with your friends but you’re hiding your true self so why are being a fake just to fit in? It’s better to be friends with people who like you for who you really are. I don’t have that many friends because I'm afraid that the person might not like me for who I really am,and  that’s why I'm so picky when it comes to making friends. I'm afraid that if one person knows too much about me they might back stab me or talk bad about me behind my back. I try my best to choose people that seem trustworthy to be my friends. I try to keep my trust with my friends, so our friendships can remain strong. Now being your true self is not always the right thing to do. Sometimes I have to try see my friends’ point of view, there are times where am too focused on myself to listen to my friends talk about themselves. I'm now trying to get rid of  this bad habit. Be yourself and people will like much more this way J               

CNY 2013

Hi everyone, as you know Chinese New Year  pasted a few days ago I’m here to share my thoughts about the 72 hour celebration.

Reunion Dinner  

For the reunion we went to my grandmother’s house for our annul dinner. We arrived at 7 Pm as dinner would only began once all my relativities had arrived so I decided to have a little chat with my uncle. We were talking about the top 5 things to do in the Untied States. My uncle’s top 5 things to do is not really my cup of tea. At 7:30 the dinner finally began, first we tossed the lou Hei in the air, I accidentally tossed mine onto the floor!! After we finished with the Lou Hei I enjoyed my grandmother’s special one year once Buddha jumps over wall soup. After dinner my grandmother gave me my first red packet for the New Year. My parents said that they were going to get some groceries, so I said ok. While my parents were out getting groceries, I was playing my aunt’s Ipad, I was playing cooking game where you have to cook anything for the kids, I was doing some really lame stuff. After 3 hours of playing with the Ipad, my siblings and I went home. We saw our parents and I asked “ Mum Dad where did you go?!”

 They said, “ We went to Lim Chu Kang to get some flowers.” My mind was blown, why would my parents go so far just to buy flowers. After awaking from my shock I went to bed to get some much needed rest.

Day 1

Woke up in joy on the first day of the New Year, I crawled onto my Mum and Dad’s   bed to wish them a happy new year. Soon after wishing my parents a happy New Year, I was rewarded with a red packet. After getting the red packet from my parents I went into the shower and when I came out, I heard a parody of psy’s Gangnam style, instead of Gangnam style it was God of fortune style LOL. After I finished with my shower I went to the living room to wait for everyone, once everyone was ready we took a few family pictures, some of them were really funny. After taking a few pictures we went to my grandparent’s house to wish them a happy new year. I didn’t really do much over there. At 10am we were supposed to go to my aunt’s house but it was raining, so we had to wait for an hour before going. After an hour of waiting we finally went to my aunt’s house. At my aunt’s house I played with my cousin’s Xbox kenict,. I had a hard time playing because I was sitting on the floor and it was hard for the motion sensor to detect my movements. When my cousins and I were about begin our game of blackjack, my mum said “ Wee Kiat we have to go brother’s sick!” So we went home. Once we got home, I remembered that it was my grandaunt’s birthday I ran to my grandmother’s house to wish her a happy birthday. After that I came home to get some rest.

Day 2

Woke up super early on this day, I quickly got dressed and ran to my grandmother’s house. Once I arrived at my grandmother’s house, I saw my cousins sitting there doing nothing. That was until my aunt passed the I pad and said “ ten minutes each Wee kiat will be the time manger ok?” Once they got hold of the Ipad, one of them kept asking me “ When is it my turn Mr time manger?”

I said, “ I’ll inform when it’s your turn Ok?”

After being the time manger for my two cousins. I wanted to have my lunch but there’s long line for a seat, so I had wait a while. My parents were at a temple praying for us. Then I decided to call her to find why they were taking so long, but her phone was turned off. I was waiting for my cousin to arrive. At 4pm they came, I decided to challenge my 7-year-old cousin to a push up contest. He ended up beating me. At 6 pm we were all in room playing my uncle’s Iphone 5. My brother & older cousin were playing a game called thunder cats. At 7:30 we had to say goodbye. For me it was a fun 3 day gathering.J

How I found my passion for Music

Music has always been my passion, I started to enjoy music at a very young age. My aunt was the one who exposed me to music.Every weekend my aunt would turn on her jukebox to the maximum volume, until my parents got a headache almost every week LOL .My aunt introduced me to some old school music such as Michael Jackson, Boney M and boogie wonderland. Everyday my aunt tested  me on the lyrics of a song. For example she would sing a song halfway and I would have to finish the rest of the song. Sometimes I even could sing the whole song, during that time my dream was to perform on stages.
In 2004 that dream came true for me as I went to Mediacorp to record the theme song for the President's star challenge. The recoding session was tiring. Now I know how much work the famous singers have to produce one song!!
In 2006 when I went into a new school,it was easy for me to pick my CCA - Music & Dance. When I got into the CCA I was so happy to be able to chase my dream of preforming in front of crowds. I later found out that it was not easy being a performer, I had to rehearse the same song for 8 weeks  for 2 hours every Tuesday, but when I get onto that stage I hear people clap for me at the end of my performance makes all the hard work worth it.
2010 was a big year for me in music because I won the award for best for best progress student. Finally all my years of being the best that I can be, I got the award. 2010 was also the year that my older sister introduced me to YouTube singers like Jason Chen and David Choi, I 've been listening to their music ever since then. I went to search for more YouTube singers I found Joseph Vincent, Axle Goot. I never knew that people could get  famous off YouTube
Music is my Passion and it will always be :)

Everyone has an evil side

Hey guys, we all have devils and angels in us to help us to make the right choices in life. Well for me I mostly take the angel's advice but there are  sometimes when I took the devil's advice and it did not end well. Whenever I take the devil's advice I tend to commit some really evil acts like, punching someone's face or telling something to someone that will offend them. I still remember one purely evil act I did a few years ago. My mother was in the hospital and all my teachers would ask me " Hey Wee Kiat how's your mum?" My response would be " Why should I care?" My inner devil had completely overshadowed me during that time. People began to hate me, and they asked my mum & dad " What happened to that caring boy who is your son?" Then my mum told them " My son is nothing like that." So that's how I cleared my name in the school.
I also tend to become physically aggressive when the devil overshadows me, I remember hitting my brother on more than one occasion even when it's completely uncall for. Even when you want to say sorry you find hard to do so because when you see the scars that you caused you feel sorry for what you have done. I have been trying to listen to my angel more then my devil. See you :)    

A very exciting day @ RWS

Hey guys, went to resorts world sentosa to attend my little brother's award giving ceremony. Woke up at 7 am, as my grandaunt would only come at 11:30, me and my sister decided to debate on which cover of Justin Bieber's beauty and the beat is better. At 11 am I got onto my walker to make my way to the bus bay to await my grandaunt's arrival. Once we arrived at resorts world there was a huge problem, there were very limited parking lots, easy for me to get down easily, so we had go around the car park for 5 minutes before we found the perfect spot. As the ceremony would only begin at 2pm we went to eat at toast box, there was something that caught my eye, there was a tray of snake shaped bread HA HA.

After we finished eating, we took the elevator up to the ballroom. When I went into the ballroom, I saw a beautiful celling design. At 2:30 the event begun with  a commencement address by the minster of eduction Mr Heng Swee Kiat. After the address, some speakers came on stage to share their stories  of how they overcame the odds despite their disability. After they finished speaking, The awards were given out. After the award presentation, me and my siblings had the honour of speaking to the minister. After speaking to the minister, we went for tea. Overall it was fun day See You:)

The Top 5 places I would like to visit around the wold

Hey guys, I always wanted to travel around the world to try different kinds of food and visit famous places. I made a list of the top 5 places I would like to visit if I get a chance to travel.

5. Tokyo, Japan

I would want to visit Tokyo because of the food I love Japanese food and I would try some real Japanese food. I would also l like to visit Mount Fuji, to see cherry blossom trees. I would like to take a tour of one of the cartoon production studio to find out how they produce one of my favourite cartoons Dragon Ball Z.  So that's why I would like to visit Japan.

4. Gold Coast, Australia

I would like to visit Gold Cost, Australia because I have relatives that come from Australia, they told me many things about it. They told about the Gold Cost. They recommended me to go to movie world, I have been on a roller coaster before so that's something I would like to try. They also told about the nice landscape over that, so that's why I would like to visit the Gold Coast

3. Switzerland

             

I would visit Swaziland because I would like try some Swiss made chocolate, and visit a chocolate factory to find out how they make their world famous chocolates. The other reason I would like to go there it's the world's leading watch-making country. I would like to visit a Swiss watch-making factory, to find out how they make the world's most high priced watches.

 2. Rome, Italy   

I would like to visit Rome because of the beautiful landmarks such as the leaning tower of Pisa. I would like to try real italian pasta, and real pizza. The coliseum is a place I would like to visit.

1. LA, USA

The number one place I would love to visit is Los Angeles. I would like to attend a Houston Rockets basketball game, to see my hero Jeremy Lin in action, I would like to get an autograph from him. I would also want to attend a Jason Chen live show, and buy a T-Shirt and ask Jason to sign it for me. :) I would attend the ISA event, to meet wong fu productions.

My Really weird Childhood

Every now and then I like to sit down and think about my childhood, to be honest when I was a kid I didn't like playing with toys or watch cartoons. Instead of cartoons I liked watching the daily news, I  can still remember sitting next to my grandaunt every night at 9 am to watch the news with her. Every time I finished watching the news my mum would ask me for the latest developments from Singapore and around the globe. I also enjoyed reading when I was younger, due to watching the news every night my vocabulary was good which assisted me in reading.
I enjoyed socializing around with people for fun, I became good friends with all the teachers in the school. I exposed my good social skills so they chose me to represent the school at countless events. I had the honor of having my picture on the magazine and newspaper. I was labeled as the superstar of the school LOL.
Now, my childhood might seem like a dream come true for most. But there's a part of my childhood that wasn't pretty. I tried really hard to fit in with my own age group but they rejected me so every Chinese new year, I would hide in my  room and cry. All my relatives would come into my room and ask me why are you crying? I did not respond them. But there was one cousin of mine that talked to me, we found that we had a few things in common. The both of us enjoy reading, my aunt was my mum's insurance agent from AIA. My cousin would come for his weekly visits to my house, during his visit we would read a book together. There was one time we went to the discovery centre together it was one of my best childhood memories. My childhood had it's ups and downs, but it was enjoyable childhood See You :)  

HELLO 2013 !!

Hey guys, Happy New Year to you. Last night was just crazy, all of my sister's friends came over to our house to party with us till midnight. At 7 pm one of my sister's friends came and he was extremely hungry so they went down to the nearby pizza palace to get 2 large pizza, they were taking so long till I fell asleep while waiting them LOL. At 7:15 all of our guests were at our party, then we started to eat the pizzas. someone accidentally added chillies to my last slice of pizza LOL.
After dinner it was time for some fun, I turned on my WII to challenge anyone to a game of wii sports resort swordplay, I received a few challengers to my game. I picked a lady to play with me and she won two times in a row, she felt bad for me so she decided to give me a handicap by letting me hit her 2 times, after my handicap I decided to cheat by knocking her off the platform!! LOL After our game it was time for others to play everyone kept using my Dad's mii San Low HA HA.

At 11:55 my sister took out a bottle of champagne and told her friend to pop it open at 12:00 am but he opened it too early LOL so he covered it with his thumb, at 12am my sister showered me with champagne.After a shower of champagne I had a nice piece of pie HA HA See you
