Children's Day 2013 :)

It was a bright and sunny day on the 3rd of October the weather was absolutely perfect for my school’s annual children’s day celebration, I’m here to tell you about the splendid day that I had with my schoolmates and teachers.
Woke up at 5am to get ready for the fun-filled day that I was about to have. Went to the kitchen to have my breakfast then my mum walked into the kitchen and asked me “ Wee Kiat why are you wearing your shirt backwards?” I checked and I was really wearing my shirt on backwards, it made me feel embarrassed. At 6:00am my dad and I went down to wait for the school bus. At 6:15 the bus came to send me off to school. When the bus arrived at school I was super excited me and my friends couldn’t wait to get down from the bus. Once we alighted I went to find my friends we were telling each other about what were looking forward to at the day’s event.  After the assembly my teacher introduced the class to our volunteer who almost had the same name as me.

As the activities would only begin at 9am my teacher brought the class down to the canteen to wait my teacher gave the class card holders as a children’s day gift. Before going up to the 2nd level my teacher gave the class yellow cards and it said if someone completes 3 activities they would qualify for a chance at the dunking tank, where we could choose which of the 4 dunkers we wanted to dunk into the tank. My class went to the school hall to play video games; there were a few games for me to choose from I went to the one with the shortest line, it was a game that I normally play when I’m at home. There were a total of 5 different games to choose from some which I couldn’t play because, some of the games required some hand movements which I couldn’t do because I was holding onto my walker. Luckily I was able to complete 3 activities so that I could dunk someone into the tank I knew exactly who I wanted to dunk my social worker who I’ve been eagerly waiting to dunk for 1 week. After I dunked my social worker my class went to do some art at some of the classrooms. The first thing we did was paint a key chain; there were so many designs to choose from I picked a whale design for my key chain. I went to sit down with my classmate who was already painting his fish keychian and I must say the colours that he selected were really nice, the one I painted did not turn out the way I wanted it to. After we finished painting our key chains we went to get our photos taken at the photo booth. There was a really long line but, it was wroth it. When it was my turn to get my picture taken there was a huge variety of items for me to use when taking photos. After taking photos there was a movie screening I only stayed in the movie room for a few minutes before going out to take some pictures with a few teachers and friends. After taking photos I went to my transport area to go home. Overall it was a fun day See you soon.

Teacher's Day Party @ School

Had a party today in school to celebrate teacher’s day. My teacher told the class that we were going to have a party with the rest of school today a few days in advance so, we had time to decide what each of us were going to bring to contribute to the party. I decided to contribute a box of bean curd to the party. Went home later that day to ask my dad to bring a box containing 50 containers of bean curd and he said, “ Are you sure you need that much?” As I was unsure I went to school the next day to ask my teacher how many we were going to need, and she told me that we were going to need about 20 because there was enough food to go around. Went home to tell my dad the new order.

The next morning my dad helped me to load the box of bean curd up onto the school bus. When the bus arrived at school, I asked one of the teachers to help me carry the box to the classroom. When everyone was at the   assembly area our principal delivered a teacher’s day message. After the message my principal made all of the teachers come up to the front to reside the teachers’ pelage. After the assembly my class went into the school hall to help to get everything ready. I wasn’t really doing anything while I was there. At 9am the event started off with a performance by the junior classes, they sung Count On Me by Bruno Mars. After the performance there was a movie screening, the movie being shown was despicable me 2, I wasn't
really watching the movie I was too busy eating. When I finished eating I went to look for my friends to have a little cit- chat session. After the event ended my classmates went back to our classroom to take a class photo. It was a really fun day see you soon

The Final 1 Finale @ The Star Arts Performing Center

Went to watch the finals of the tv show The finial 1 last Wednesday at the Star Arts Performing Center and I’m here to blog about that night. Came back from school really tired because, I’ve not been sleeping well and was having some lower back pains. Went to the bathroom to take a shower before getting some sleep. Woke up at about 5pm and got dressed in my red T-shirt and went to the living room to wait for my bro and mum, I started to feel hot my mum checked my temperature and found out that I was having a 37.4 fever, but we still went ahead with our plans. We met up with my mum’s friend to wait for a cab. When we arrived at our destination the taxi fare was $16.50. Next we looked for my mum’s friend’s daughter, after we found her we went into the lift and we realized that we needed an access card to get to the 10th floor. So, we stopped at the 3rd floor to ask a staff member for the access pass. The usher told us that we had to stop at the 7th floor to retrieve our clappers and candies; my mum tasked my bro and my friend to get the items and meet up with us afterwards.
Once we were in the theatre the show started off with an introduction for the judges. Shortly after the introduction Shaun started to perform his rendition of Coldplay’s Viva la Vida, and as he was performing there were tiny flames coming out from the stage, the performance wasn’t bad. After the performance the show went for a commercial break. After the break one of the judges-Taufik Batisah went onto the stage to perform his song The Sky’s The Limit with Re ne. After the performance the two finalists performed their rendition of the song Payphone. After that performance Shaun begun to sing his rendition of the song Radioactive.

After the show we went to the nearest trains station to take a train back home but my bro forgot to bring along his ez-link card!! So, we went to the taxi stand to wait for a cab. We called for a seven-seater cab and we thought that it was going to be a waste of money so, we canceled the cab and brought a train ticket for my bro. As we were going into the train there were people cramming into the train and I thought to myself “ Is this what I have to deal with if I were to go  out on my own!!??”  After a 1-hour train ride my dad came to pick us up when we arrived at the trains station. It was a Night to remember See U Soon

Pool Party @ Woodgrove Condominium

Just came home from my little cousin’s poolside birthday party and I’m here to blog about this wonderful day. Woke up at 7am today went over to the dining table to have my wanton noodles which my dad brought for me, yum!! After finishing my meal I went to the living room to turn on my laptop to watch some videos from the web. After an hour of watching videos I turned on the television to watch some cartoons. At 3:45 I was all ready on my walker to go got into my dad’s pickup and we drove to my aunt’s condo.
When we arrived we were having some trouble getting in because, there was no shortcut to the pool I started to get mad at my sister for not showing me the way. After I cooled my anger down my sister showed me the way to the pool. When I got there I saw my little cousin coming out from the pool to say hi to me. After saying hi  to  my cousin I sat down to eat, as I was eating my aunt who just came back from Boston after 2 years came to the party, I was so happy to see her.  After I was done with my meal I went to wish my Muslim aunt & uncle a happy Hari Raya.  I gave my bro my bag with my camera and he went up to my aunt’s house to sleep.

Meanwhile, my uncle who had just come out of the pool went to eat. I sat next to him and we started to talk about my blog because he reads it.  I asked him for some feedback and he said it was good. After talking to my uncle we went to sing the birthday song to my cousin. After saying goodbye to everyone my sister’s friends escorted me back to the carpark, they made me laugh by speaking with a China accent. When I got onto to the pickup I asked my bro “ Where’s my bag?” he said he left it at my aunt’s house. So pics will have to wait till tomorrow it was fun I enjoyed myself See u Soon

National Day Celebration @ School

My school had it’s annual National Day celebration today and I’m here to blog about the nice 2 hours that I had in school. Woke up at 5am to take a shower before leaving the house, I was supposed to wear a red top and white bottom but my mum gave me a white top and red bottom. Went to the dinner table to have my morning meal, mum made French toast this morning Yum!! At 6:05am the school bus came to pick me up, my bus driver asked me “ Why are you wearing the colours upside-down?!” After I answered my driver we were off to pick other people before heading to school. Once the bus arrived at school I alighted the bus to go use the washroom. After going to the washroom I went to the school hall to see my school’s scouts troop doing their march pass. After we sang the national anthem the principal delivered a message from the education Minster. After the message the MCs came on stage to teach us about the history of Singapore, from the Japanese occupation to the present day, after they taught us they had a quiz to test us. After the quiz I was given a box of food. After eating I went to the transport bay to wait for my bus to go home, it was a great day see you:)

My bro and I went to eat our morning meal and when we were done I told my bro that I was still hungry and he said, “ What more do you want, would it be better if I laid out a buffet for you!?” Then I said yes then I started to say out a list of food that I would like to have till my bro was so annoyed till he had to stop. Ha Ha. At 9am the bus came to pick my bro and myself to send us to East Coast Park. When we arrived I met my volunteer, his name was Derrick. He & I tried to get our kite to fly but after a few tries we still could not get it to fly. And after our last try it started to rain heavily so, my buddy& I took shelter from the rain. At the shelter we were all eagerly waiting for our lunch, when lunch arrived we were all like Hooray. I had 2 fish burgers and 3 boxes of blackcurrant juice. NDP Preview 2013:)

Hi everyone, my school had invited me to watch the National Day Preview and I’m here to blog about this wonderful event. Woke up at 9am to have my morning meal. After my meal my brother & I went to watch the legend of the crazy monk on television. Went to get ready at 11am, as I was getting ready I realized that were no white pants, I freaked out after 30 minutes my sister handed me a pair of white pants. After getting ready I went to the dining table to have my lunch, my sister made sandwiches for the three of us and my brother made me a cup of milo without any sugar!! After finishing that really nice meal I went to put on my shoes. At 12: 36 the bus came to pick me up. When we arrived at school only for 20 minutes than we were off to event venue, during the journey I was talking to my CCA teacher about the latest news and all that stuff.
When we arrived at the floating platform my teacher gave me my dinner, I had a shroom burger from Burger King and a cup of mango juice. At 7pm the show started with the hosts coming onto the platform, shortly after all of the ministers had arrived the Red lions were jumping out of their plane at 50,000 feet and for the first time in history there was a female red lion. After the red loins segment it was time for the armed forces showcase, showcasing the professionalism of the men and women of the Singapore armed forces, after the showcase the actors from Ah Boys to Men came onto the stage to sing the theme song of the movie.

At this time it was getting dark so I took out the lightstick from the fun pack. The performers were singing songs, then I heard a voice saying hi and I wondered where was it coming from, it was the merlion. The merlion wanted to join us on stage but, he was scared to swim over then we had to cheer for him to swim over and when he dived down an animation of the merlion swimming over to the platform started to show on the screen. When the merlion arrived it started to sing, after singing fireworks started to shoot out of the merlion’s mouth. The show ended with some fireworks. I took some random of MBS. I went home at about 10:37Pm see you soon

Has technology and social media taken over the Singapore community????

Was watching the television show On The Red dot with my family last night, the topic showcased this week was are people in Singapore too used to going online on their phones and devices? The answer is yes; a study shows that 50% of people in Singapore go online everyday. Let me share with you the 3 age groups that use these devices the most.

Kids

Kids love to play with ipads and iphones. Even when I’m out having dinner with my family I’ll always see a random kid playing with the Ipad. Some parents say that it’s good for their kids to be exposed to such electronics because it promotes parent and child bonding. But a child development specialist says that it’s not very good for children to play while lying down because, their bodies are still in a stage of development, therefore their backbone might grow to be out of shape if they lie down or slouch while playing games. The specialist advised that children should engage in more outdoor actives such as playing at the playground.

Teens

It’s common to see teens like myself on our phones checking on our social media accounts. My sister & I like to take photos of food and post them on Instagram  When someone leaves me a message on any of my social media accounts, I’ll try my best to reply them as soon as I can. The first thing I do on a weekend is to wake up and check my Instagram for any likes or new followers. In my mind social media is a new way to connect with family and friends.

 People 40 and above

Don’t be shocked when I tell that my mum & dad know how to use their phones to download apps and watch YouTube videos on their phone, my dad watches videos on his phone for an hour before going to work. My mum can do her housework while listening to really old songs. My mum can sit at the dinner table for hours playing Candy Crush, my mum always asks my younger brother to download new games for her till her phone has no memory. Even my grandmother uses her Ipad to play games, every time I go for dinner at my grandmother’s I’ll always see her playing a game of Angry Birds!! What has this world come to!! See you Soon.

Singapore Wins against Chef Ramsay

Recently the world-class chef Gordon Ramsay was here in Singapore to test his skills against local hawkers to see who could cook to the better version of local dishes. For those of you who don’t know who he is, he’s a 5 star chef that owns his chain of restaurants all 5 stars all across the UK. Besides having 5 star restaurants he has appeared in TV shows like Hell’s Kitchen and Master chef UK.

He went to some of Singapore’s best food stalls to learn about the dish. The finial showdown took place at the Newtown food center last night Mr Ramsay won with his version of the chilli crab but lost with chicken rice and laksa. He did put up a good fight. The reason I think that the hawkers won was because the hawkers are used to cooking the dishes, while Mr Ramsay is used to cooking western dishes. See You Soon.

A day in Malaysia

Hello everyone, my family &I went to Malaysia yesterday and I’m here to tell you what we found on our trip. At 10 am my grandaunt’s friend’s car came to pick us up to send us to woodlands checkpoint. After clearing the checkpoint we drove to our first eatery of the day, where I had 2 plates of Village Chicken Rice and 2 glasses of bundong and it was a meal to die for. After we had our meal, I felt so full that I couldn’t even get into the car. We rode in the car till we arrived at the freakishly huge shopping mall. The first thing my siblings and I did was to get a drink fromStarbucks. After we finished our drinks we went to meet up with my grandaunts and mum who were looking at some nuts & candies, in the meantime I was looking at the Imac next door. When my grandaunt & mum came out from the candy store with many packets of nuts and candy. We went to buy to some groceries, while my mum was getting all of the needed stuff I was getting all the sushi and hot dogs I could get my hands on. After getting groceries we went to a clothing store, nothing actually caught my eye until I saw a purple polo T-shirt after looking at it for a while I asked my mum weather or not I could have it and she said yes. After shopping we went to a have seafood dinner, we had egg tofu, fish and noodles. After dinner we rode in the car for 20 minutes because there was a massive traffic jam at the checkpoint. We still managed to pass the checkpoint. Overall it was a fun day See You Soon  l

My Favourite Final 1 contestant

Hello everyone, is anyone watching The Finial 1 on channel 5? Well if you are I'm going to tell about one contestant that has caught my eyes over the past weeks. His name is Shaun Jansen I must say that he’s the best looking among all of the contestants! He is really talented I think he has the talent to be an artist in the Singapore music industry. He’s not only good at singing English songs he’s also good at singing Chinese songs, the other day I was watching the judges’ choice edition of the show and I heard him singing and it was AMAZING So, vote for him via the facebook I’ll include the link below See You Soon

Haze Hits A new record high

I’m sure everyone knows that the haze has hit a new record high of 115 PSI as of yesterday. According to the National Environment Agency (NEA) it is the worst haze since the first one in 1997. My first encounter with haze was in 2006 and the highest PSI level back then was at a 100 PSI. The cause of the haze was the forest fires in Indonesia. Singapore has advised Indonesia to take preventive measures to prevent the levels from going any higher. Health officials had advised Singaporeans to stay indoors for this period of time. But if you have to go outdoors you're advised to wear a mask. See you soon

An unforgettable hotel stay @ MBS

Hi everyone, the story I’m about to share happened to me 1 year ago. Ok so, my 2nd grandaunt’s birthday was coming during that time and her family had booked a room at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) and they had invited my family & I to stay with them for one night. In the weeks leading up to the stay, my teacher had given me a p4 English exam paper to test my English skills and I scored 80 out of 85 marks. I went home to tell my family the good news. My Mum & Dad were really happy for me. A few days later my mum had fallen sick, things didn’t look too good for my mum I was about to give up on the hotel stay. But my mum said “ Wee Kiat you can go with your grandaunts by yourself because of your good marks. ” With that being said I called my grandaunt to ask weather or not that she could take me to the hotel and she said yes.
The next morning my dad helped me to pack my bags for the stay. As I went to the dinner table to have my morning meal, my mum said, “ Show a good example to your younger cousins while you’re there ok?” and I hugged my mum to say goodbye. My younger brother and my dad escorted me down to the car park where my grandaunt was waiting for me my dad and brother waved goodbye to me as I was getting into my grandaunt’s car. Form there me and my grandaunt went to pick my 2nd grandaunt and my aunt and my younger cousin from their house, together we embarked on our journey to the hotel. During the car ride my cousin was playing around with me.
Once we arrived at the hotel’s lobby my grandaunt unloaded my wheelchair from her car’s boot, when I sat on my wheelchair my cousin just wanted to push me, I was laughing so hard that I lost my breath. Once we got to our room my 2 grandaunts just put their bags down got out their NRICS and dashed down to the casino. Meanwhile, in the hotel room my cousin was pretending to be a pilot and I was his passenger. We played for a few hours. At 3:00Pm my 3rd grandaunt came with her family. At this time I was feeling a little tried so, I took a nap. I woke up half an hour later. I called my family to let them know what I was doing. After talking to my mum for 10 minutes I went to take my lunch. After lunch there wasn’t much to do so, I took out my Ipod to listen to some music.
At 5:00pm my uncle came with his family. They went swimming. A half an hour later I wanted to take a shower but my uncle’s family just came back from their swim so, I let the kids to shower first. After they showered my cousins and I were listening to music from my Ipod. At 9pm we sang a birthday song to my 2nd grandaunt. At 11pm all of the guests had left I called my mum & dad to say good night.

The next morning I went to redhill to have a meal it was a awesome stay one that I’ll never forget. See You.

A Journey Into The Animal Kingdom @ Singapore Zoo

Hello everyone, my family and I just went to the zoo yesterday and I’m going to blog about it. My sister was thinking of a place for a family outing, she asked the rest of the family where we wanted to go for an outing, the rest of us had no idea where we wanted to go so, in the end we decided to go to the zoo. My sister tasked me with finding all of the needed info I had to find out ticket prices and all that kind of stuff. Everything was set for the outing. I asked my sister for the timing to wake up and she said 8am but, I though she said 7:30am so, I set my clock 1 hour back to wake me up at 6am. The next morning my alarm sounded and I was trying to wake my mum and younger brother up, then I saw my sister’s message, I was like “ Oh dear I woke them up at the wrong time!” After I said sorry to both my brother and mum I went to get onto my wheelchair to get ready. At 8:05 my grandaunt came to pick us up to send us to the zoo.
Once we arrived we had a light snack before heading into the zoo. My sister went to get the tickets; the ticket price was $110 when I searched for it online but thanks to my mum’s NTUC membership card we were able to get a discount. At 9:00 am I was the first one to go into the zoo my sister told me that I only had 10 seconds to get pass the barrier, I managed to wheel myself pass the barrier. The first animal that we came across was the Crocodiles. There was one crocodile that was completely still, my brother and I wondered weather was it a real or a fake crocodile, to find out we looked at it closely then we saw it snapped it’s jaws than we were like “ Ok it’s real!!”
The next animal we went to look at were the White Tigers, I told my grandaunt “ I’m going to look at my brother right now.” The reason I made that joke was because my brother was born in the year of the tiger in the Chinese zodiac. When we got to the white tiger’s area, one was sleeping and the other one was walking around, my brother said, “This is like me every morning.”  After we left the tiger area we went to the Ah Meng restaurant to have our meal, I had my all- time favourite dish chicken rice.
After a nice meal we went to the insects dome to see the butterflies, one of them actually landed on my brother’s shoulders my brother was screaming and holding onto my grandaunt’s legs ha ha. At this point my forearms wanted to die after all of the wheeling and pushing. None of us wanted to see the snakes, my sister wanted to  see the snakes then my sister went to see the snakes by herself while my grandaunt and I waited at the loin’s area. Now I was so tried that I started yawning, the sleeping lion woke up to roar at me. Our last animal encounter for the day was the polar bear. It was freezing cold in there.

After a long day at the zoo we went to Swensen’s for dinner, when it was time for me to have my hot fudge subdue my dad handed me a really long spoon. I kept dropping it. It  was a really fun day See You Soon.

A lovely Evening @ USS

So, after returning home from my school’s sports meet, I quickly went to take a nap because I had to for an outing to Universal Studios Singapore (USS). Woke up at 4:30pm to get ready for the event, I was so happy to fulfil my dream of going there. At 5pm the bus came to send my younger brother and I to the venue. During the bus ride I was talking to my brother and his friend, this was first time that I talked to people my age and it felt really good!! After the one-hour bus ride we finally arrived at the venue. We had to wait for everyone, which took about 45 minutes; I was so bored till I had to read the map for the whole 45 minutes. After 45 minutes we left for a nice walk, we didn’t go on any rides but we saw some fireworks I have a video click if you want. After the fireworks we went for dinner at a rainforest themed café. I had fries and chicken. We went home at 10:59. Nonetheless I had fun. See You Soon.J

My School's 51st sports meet @ MJC

Hi everyone, my school’s 51st sports meet just happened yesterday and I’m here to blog about it. Ok let me take a step back in time one month to be exact. My teacher was a member of the sports meet committee so, my class and I helped out by doing anything we were tasked with, and I was in charge of selecting the songs for the day. I spent almost the whole day sitting in front of my classroom’s computer selecting the songs there were a few rules that I had to follow the rules were:
  1. No vulgar words in the songs
  2. It must be songs that kids would enjoy
  3. The songs must have a fast tempo
So theses were the rules that I had to follow all so, I had to dig deep into my mind to find the songs that I knew that could comply with the rules, I had a hard time! But I did it! The whole school had to learn a mass dance for the sports meet, the song that we had to dance to was Hot And Cold by Katy Perry, the dance was too fast for me to follow but, after a few times I slowly got the hang of it. Everything was set for the sports meet.  When I went home I told myself “ Just go out there and have fun it doesn’t matter if I bring home a medal!”

Woke up at 5:00 am to get ready for the event, the bus came to pick me up at 6:10am to send me to Meridian Junior Collage (MJC) for the event. Once I arrived I could hear the songs that I picked for the event. Anyway I was heading to my tent to join my teammates.  At 8:00 the event started off with the dance we learned, I was too busy thinking about my race to dance. After the dance the MCs told the teams to show their cheers, I must say that the blue team was the loudest among all the teams. Well for the first few events my team did not look too good, it was blue that leading. When my event came, my heart was pounding like a drum, I told myself to relax and run. When I got onto the track I was running as fast as I can, I ended up getting the 3rd place in the race. After the race I was so tired that I almost collapsed. The events went on as normal. At the next event I took part in  was a team race where we had dress a person up; our team came in 2nd place. After that event it was time for the prize presentation, I had a sudden urge to go to the washroom, one of my friends helped me to collect my medals. The overall winner was my team. We were jumping for joy!! We went to take a team photo. Everyone was giving me compliments on the win. But I said, “ You did well too!” After the event I went home with a smile

A Walk To Remember

One of my of biggest dreams is to get a job to support my family, and myself I planned to get some training after I leave my current school. I have spoken to a person that I know that works at the training center that I wish to enrol into after I leave school and one of things that she told me was that I had to ride the train on my own to the training center to attend the classes that I want to enrol into. So today I tried to walk all the way to the nearest trains station using my walking aid. I must say it was a rather hot and tiring one hour walk, but today my class went down to the sheltered workshop in my school, these words kept repeating in my head when I was there the words were “ I want to find a job that can provide for my family I don’t want to come here!!” When I got home I told my mum to show me the to way the train station, she said ok.

And so at 4:07 we embarked on our walk to the train station. Once I went into the hot sun I quickly regretted going out at that time because it was really hot I wanted to give up but I used what I saw this morning as motivation to push myself forward to finish what I started. I was almost reaching the train station I was like “ YES I MADE IT!!” Then I saw my grandaunt’s car my grandaunt came to send us home. Once I got to the void deck of my block my mum bought me a can of ice lemon tea as a light refreshment. Sometimes You Must Push Your Yourself To Your Limits To Get What You Want.

The Steps To My Bigger & Brighter Future

In my last post I talked about my plans for a bigger and brighter future, this is the follow up on that post. Ok this post is going to be about things I have to do to pave my way to that bigger and brighter future that I envisioned for myself.

Step 1 Improve Social Skills

The first thing I think I need to improve on would be my social skills. I really need to boost my self-esteem and self-confidence, both of which I extremely lack. But I just can’t seem to find that boost that I really need. On the other hand I have to stop being self – centred, but sometimes I can’t help it I just have to talk about myself till people get bored of me and start avoiding me. My family has shared with me this saying” “The world is not only about yourself.” Till this day I’m still trying to find the meaning behind that saying. My social skills extremely lack around the people  my age because, I don’t really like the topics that they talk about like games and all that kind of stuff, I wish that one day I can find friends that enjoy blogging and music as much as I do, so that we give blogging ideas to one another or when we need some advice on how to improve on our blogs we can just ask each other, but not many people update their blogs nowadays. :(

Step 2 Build Upper Body Strength

The next thing I think that I must improve on for a better future would be to build my upper body strength, so that it will be easier for me to wheel myself on my wheelchair to anywhere I want to go. But the thing is I’m sacred of the dangerous things that might happen to me when I’m outside such as falling, being stared at and injuring myself. The other thing is that I always forget to do my push-ups; I need to stop being lazy and start living an active life if I want to have a brighter future.

Step 3 Learn How To Ride The Train

Once I build enough upper body strength, I would then wheel myself to the train station to learn how to ride the train. From there I can live my dream of going out on my own. I can go for a nice dinner with my extended family without my mum & dad. Or go shopping with my aunts.

Step 4 Go For Some Training

Once I know how to ride the train I would to go to one training center in Singapore to get some training to pick up some skills, which can be useful to me in a workplace environment. The skills that I would like to pick up would be talking to people to sell things or Photoshop. Then after I finish the training I can look for a job to support my family and myself. It’s like a staircase that I have to walk up. At the end of the staircase is a door the door that leads me to my goals. I want to open up that door that I see at the end of the staircase and stay there. Thanks For ReadingJ

My Plans for A Bigger and Brighter Future

Sometimes I ask myself this question “ What’s going  happen to me after I leave my school environment?” That question can reduce me to tears in a matter of minutes. What if I don’t go to the place I want to go to? I’ll tell you what’s going happen to me, I’ll be sitting at home doing nothing, that’s something that I don’t want to happen! I want to be able to earn my own income to ease the burden of my Mum & Dad. I want to be able to go out on my own to enjoy a nice dinner with my extended family. I still have 2 years to learn how to go out on my own. I have high hopes that I’ll be able to go out on my own someday, hopefully that one day will come soon. But what am I pulling my hair out now? I should just enjoy my last 2 years in school enjoying myself and learn as much as I can within the two-year period. But at the same I can’t stop thinking about my plans for a bigger and brighter future.

Our Very First Class Play

Hello everyone, If you read my blog most of the time you would know that one of my dreams is to be an actor, well that dream sort of came true for me today My class was in the production of a play about recycling as a part of my of school’s Clean And Green Week and when my teacher announced that I was going to be a teacher I was like “OMG I get to be a teacher Yes!” During the first few practice sessions the class kept messing up but there were some really funny moments during those sessions, I kept on saying the wrong things at the wrong time!! My friends kept messing up as well but with some help from my teacher, we somehow managed to pull though. One of the hardest parts of the play was the dance we had to do at the end of the play we had to do it 3 times during rehearsal. The moment I returned home I felt a little nervous and my mum said, “ You’ve been on that stage so many times you will be fine.” With that really good piece of advice I went to bed to get a good night’s sleep to prepare myself for today’s play.
Woke up this morning got dressed in my in my suit and guitar tie, I felt like I was Justin Timberlake .HA HA. Once I arrived at I forgot that I supposed to be a wheelchair, so my teacher went to get one for me. My legs were shaking when I got on stage, but I still did it! After the play my class and I got many compliments from teachers and friends. I must say, it was an awesome class play I'm proud to be apart of it See You So

A day at the singapore Air Force Museum

Hello everyone, I just woke up from my nap the reason I took a nap was because I went for an outing with my school to the Air Force Museum.
Woke up extremely late today got scolded by my dad. Left for school as usual. Once I arrived at school I saw my classmates heading into the school hall, I wondered what was going on? So, I went into the hall then I saw all the junior classes performing Gangnam Style. After the performance, we boarded the bus to make our way to the museum. There were not enough seats on the bus so some of us had to sit on wheelchairs.
Once we arrived at the museum, I saw my teacher’s son and husband, I was trying to say hello to my teacher’s son but he kept running away from me! Ha Ha. Anyway I saw so many airplanes my class teacher tried to explain what the aircrafts were used for but I didn'tu understand anything. Afterwards we went into a theatre to watch a short clip about the evolution of the air force, from the time it was founded to the present day.
After watching the clip we went to the 2nd level to know about the history of the air force. There were also some parts of an air force airplane. After the tour, I noticed that I had $12 in my wallet then I was like“ What the heck I’m already here might as well buy something to remember this trip.” I had a hard time selecting my gift but I decided to get a SAF badge. It was an awesome trip  one worth remembering See You Soon

A Tooth's Tale

It’s been 2 months since I fell and broke my front tooth. I got my new fake tooth earlier today. Woke up at 9:15 am today to go for my appointment at the Health Promotion Broad (HPB). My dad and I were on our way to pick my mum from her workplace; from there we went to the National Dental Center (NDC). Once we arrived my mum went to get my queue number. During the waiting time I was playing Cut The Rope on my mum’s phone.
After the wait, I went into the dentist’s office and the dentist told me to stay clam and   still. When the dentist inserted my fake tooth I felt a really wired feeling in mouth, it felt like a piece of plastic was in my mouth. The dentist told me that I would have to get used to it. After we left the center we went for lunch, during my meal discovered that it was really hard to chew because of my tooth I also found hard to speak, so if any of my schoolmates are reading this please deal with me. Stop Smoking !!

Now Singapore is a really clean place to live, even throwing a piece of thrash on the ground will get you fined up to $500. In Singapore you can’t eat on the buses & trains. One of the most common pieces of trash I see would be cigarettes butts on the floors in some lifts, and the smell is just awful! Whenever I ride a lift that has that smell I feel like dying. Luckily the NEA has launched a campaign to help spread awareness of no smoking in public. My younger brother just showed me an ad for anti smoking and I thought that it was funny. Please help spread the message thanks and See You Soon.

The cartoon Character That resembles my teacher in real life

So, my class teacher came across my latest post and she asked me to think of a cartoon character that resembles her in real life, let’s jump right in to it shall we?
Ok I personally think my teacher is the real life version of Sandy Cheeks from Spongebob Squarepants. The reasons I say that she’s the real life Sandy is because she loves helping people feel they’re best, just like Sandy. Sandy loves helping her friends, that’s exactly how my teacher is I can always count on my teacher to turn that rain cloud above my head into a ray of sunshine.
The other reason I think that she’s real life Sandy is because she’s extremely smart. I can ask her any question in the whole world and she can think of a million answers to any questions I ask!
The last reason I think that my teacher is the real life Sandy it’s that she’s really sociable. I mean she can relate to almost anything! Form work related stuff to her personal stuff. It’s really fun to talk her, just like Sandy. So theses are the reasons why I think that my teacher is the real life version of Sandy See You Soon!    t
